universal record deal

Meet Elysium III – three beautiful classically trained singers; Ceri Ann Gregory, Annalise Whittlesea and Amelia Whiteman. Following a tradition that Glee started, propelling genuinely classic rock songs back into the charts, Elysium III release their debut album – Rock Diva – on March 21st on Universal Music.

With the recent ubiquity and commercial dominance of rock anthems like Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing, there has never been a better time for an album like Rock Diva. A sumptuous and exhilarating collection of timeless songs, ranging from the lead-off single- Bad Company’s strident Feel Like Makin’ Love- out 14th March (to coincide with the 25th anniversary of its release) to Johnny Farnham’s You’re The Voice through to Rainbow’s Since You’ve Been Gone to Boston’s More Than a Feeling, Elysium III have breathed new life into these songs. The girls’ sincere enthusiasm and affinity for both rock and opera shines through every gloriously extravagant and exquisitely melodic second of these eleven immaculate tracks, resulting in a breathtaking and utterly fresh musical experience.

With grand plans to present Rock Diva in the live arena, Elysium III look certain to establish themselves as an unassailable musical force in 2011.

“We joke about this album being like Glee for grown-ups!” laughs Ceri. “But we’re still singing with classical tones and the arrangements are orchestral. We’ve always wanted to bring this music to a new audience. So many of these songs are perfect for classical voices. We can’t wait for people to hear them.”

Russ Ballard the songwriter of ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ says: “I’ve heard Elysium’s version of this track and ‘God Gave Rock ‘n’ Roll to You’ and l love them. It’s always great to hear a song reborn. I wish them all the luck in the world”
